Tip #1 Finding out what version of QuickBooks you are using

In order to tell what version of QuickBooks you are running you need to bring up the product info window. In order to do this first open QuickBooks. Then your company file. Once this is done Hold the Ctrl Key down then push the number one key on the keyboard.

Some of things which you can see is as follows:

1. Product ID - This is the Version and Release Addition for which you are currently running
2. Your License # & Registration Status
3. Product Number
4. User License: This is the number of clients that can be in the give QuickBooks data file at a give time.
5. File Information: This displays the current data files location.
6. There are a list of other useful information that can be used in diagnosing problems with your QuickBooks for which a QuickBooks technician or QuickBooks ProAdvisor might need to know.
